Yeah, the Bordeaux jailer is asleep here and you can take his keys. Not a bottle for the ages, but you’ve got your astringency and leather (most prominent note for me here, the leather) and your dignified but pleasure-giving savory, slightly cedary Bordeaux fruit. Finesse is hard to describe, we need alcohol but not too much, we need fruit too and not too much otherwise the wine will be unbalanced and finally the acidity needs to add freshness. This wine is very well balanced, beautifully styled, typical Fronsac color which is a dark shade of pigeon blood red. Nice dark fruit aromas, but also immediate hints of typical wet forest floor.
