This NV was purchased in 2019, waited a bit long as it was a bit oxed with extra yeasty-nuttiness, but still quite tasty for NYE/NYD - made mimosas, and both Sauternes and Cassis kirs which were great.

Disgorged 2/25, light body, delicate, good flavors, dry finish, drank easily with Peking duck, dumplings and veggies, a good counterpoint to some of bigger tasting champagnes I have been drinking lately, would drink again.

I don't know what happened to this wine. At a sale price in Houston HEB bought 3 bottles (HEB is a good source). All bottles lacked definition and richness, relatively short finish. There was no sign of cork deterioration, the champagne uninteresting. I drank only a little of the 3d bottle and dumped the rest. I suspect the problem is poor wholesaler storage given other reviews. No point in giving it a score

Perhaps drank too early. Very soft and subtle. Pleasant but less than I expected.

2022 vintage

Attractive rich gold colour, appealing easy/buttered toast nose. I enjoyed the aroma a bit more than the flavour, largely because of a slightly bitter finish I didn't care for, otherwise a lemony/apply taste with good acidity. Rich and acidic enough to go along with a Korean roasted lobster dish.

From Woodland Hills Wine store. Color. Very rich, almost pinkish gold? There's lots of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meniur in the blend. Nose. Bread, lemons, white flowers. It's a fairly basic nose. Palate. This is interesting. Balanced and yet it leans towards an loaf of bread baked with oranges. Very rich. Good backbone of acidity to support the full bodied character. Almost chewy?

Champagniac 2025 : 40% Meunier, 25% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay. Disgorged Jul 2024. Rich and doughy, pleasurable in a toasty, hedonistic house style.

More crisp and crunchy than I remember it being.

Love the grower Champagnes with chalk, spice, dough, lemon, lime, baking crust and sour apple. Complex stuff.

Drank over 2 hours. Great value and delivered well.

Light yellow color. Very lively mousse. Aromas of citrus, tangerine, yeast and minerals. Excellent depth and length. Excellent value.

Aromas of shortbread, mineral, lime and sea salt. Flavors of shortbread, cream, mineral and hint of citrus. Ends with a 15-20 second second finish mineral notes. Great acidity and very refreshing.

Light brioche notes, a touch of citrus.

375ml disgorged September 2024 House champagne at Coqodaq NYC Super fresh lemon and green apple on the nose initially, but turns into a riper more oxidized golden apple with nuances of stone fruit with air. The mousse is really effervescent creating a very creamy texture and filling the mouth with bubbles. The acidity is high, with a touch of toasty notes that seem quite secondary and harder to notice. Not brut. Perhaps extra-dry.... regardless, more sweetness than I attribute to brut. Fruity. Well-made but not what I'm looking for in dry champagne.

From 375 disgorged in 2023. Nice tart lemon and mineral character. Not bready, but quite enjoyable.

Scoring from March 2023 Champagne trip. No note.

Seven years post disgorgement this is drinking very well, with toasty, nutty notes, as well as something I can only describe as a chocolate aroma. Very interesting. Lively and bright, the acids are front and center. No worries about having let this sit so long. No rush really.

Gaston is mildly yeasty. Melts in your mouth. Tiny active bubbles are just enough. Pretty crisp lemon. A bit of nutty bitterness.

Disgorgement 7/22; from magnum. Symmetric and elegant, with good acidity and energy. Some of that rye/pumpernickel slightly sour yeastiness that I love in Gaston Chiquet.

Another very good 375ml of this. So glad that I bought a bunch of these on closeout. There has been some bottle variation but not much. This was about middle of the road to slightly on the good side of all 12-15 that I've opened. Complex but accessible and yummy. Well integrated dosage. Disgorged in 2017. I don't see them getting much better at at this point.

Smell is a lightly buttered crystallized honey. Taste is subtle melon, brioche with citrus acidity on the back. Flavor is subtle overall. Just a bit of aftertaste.

No bubbles, but everything is there. Lots of quince from a relatively higher dosage. Original disgorgement.
