Giornata Ramato

A truly excellent representation of the style. On ~vacation and didn't take notes when consumed a couple of days ago on its own and with grilled swordfish. There is a vibrancy and energy and cut without puckering acidity, a fruity punch without being candied. What is it? Dried strawberry? But also some sort of pithy citrus and dried herbs? We both loved this over two nights. They just nailed it. Sadly I put off entering consumption into CT until I had time to verify which bin I'd pulled this from (2 bottles were in the cellar) so no notes and even the date is approximate. :( From memory such bright and wild fruit, great drive and purity combined with a rustic edge? No hint of smoke taint. 13.0% abv

Only bottle from club sampling. Nobody likes this one, which is unusual for a giornata.
