Just a delicious pure expression of pinot noir ready to drink out of the gate. Punches way above its weight.

Closed off on the nose upon opening Needed a decant. Then slowly opened up Aromas of rose and leather, ripe red fruits especially ripe raspberry, moderate savoury notes Medium tannins and excellent length I think this will be at its best in ~5 years but if you’re drinking it now, decant for at least 30 minutes

They hype is real at the price point

Already excellent in its early travels since release! Somewhat riper & larger than usual and yet, so "in my wheelhouse". The fruit purity, minerality & acidity provide the engine to keep this feeling very fresh and deliciously "come hither" at the same time. Very Mugneret Gibourg' like for 1/6 the price. 14% alc is integrated extremely well. Powerful nose in a modern style, but with lovely texture and minerality. Some nice pepper spice too. Very enjoyable in the short or long term.

Similar to last bottle, definitely on the riper side of the Burgundy spectrum. Softened after an hour, well balanced fruit forward wine.

GGs vs. 1er Cru Burgs (Bin 75 Alpharetta, GA) : Darker core with ruby rim; deep berry layered, blackberry, powerful but a juiciness to it, slight clay, raspberry, tart almost brambly, intensely young and almost austere but fruit and stuffing is there for graceful aging.

Youthful ruby-purple; aromatic, red fruited, youthful, strawberry, strong core of minerality, lovely purity; palate is medium bodied, superb youthful fruit, not overripe, excellent purity, minerality; finish is medium-plus to long. 92

Cherry and some darker notes plus a hint of baking spice on the nose, more with coaxing. Great purity and focus on the palate - ripe, dry, but not excessive, cherry, long- finish. Good balance, a bit of tannin. Very open and drinkable now, certainly will age charmingly for 5-10 years. A slightly modern style for Burgundy but in the zone.
