PnP, and did not improve during the meal. This wine was all about minerality and acidity. The nose was heavily mineral. The medium bodied palate showed lemon and a bit of green apple, but these were matched (if not exceeded) by the acidity and minerality. Compared to TNs from the latter half of 2015, the wine was less fruity, and less satisfying which may indicate that 4+ years after vintage is too late to enjoy this wine.

I'm writing this a couple days after consumption and it is a real shame there aren't notes. This was outstanding. Limestone, Granny Smith apple, lime zest, lemon curd, and maybe almond and almond blossom? Seemless transition from the nose to the taste to the medium-length finish. Acidity perfect. This was best shortly atfter PnP and for a couple hours the first night. Half a bottle left in the refrigerator capped, not suctioned remained very good the second night, but had …

Ready now. Easy drinker. Relaxed wine, not complex but well made, balanced. Didn't get in the way of the food.

PNP from wine fridge - in the glass the color is clear and elegant. A full & rich nose beckons, and as it hits the palate it blossoms into a full, rich bouquet with soft structure then ever so slightly narrows with a hint of lemon at the back. Stems up!

Just a fantastic grenache blanc from Tablas. Beautiful light yellow in color with white grapefruit pith on the nose. There's a lot going on with the flavors here. Creamy meyer lemon, white grapefruit, a bit of green apple, nice minerality, crisp acidity, a hint of Christmas spice and a fairly long finish.

Comes out of the bottle with the color of light straw. The aroma is initially light, but gains a little depth as it opens up. There's a light sour note, some bright crisp fruit, and a hint of sharpness. The flavor is much richer, with bigger fruit, some sweet notes, a good, bright, sweet finish, and just a hint of sharpness on the tongue. I like it with bratwust. Tasted at about 70°F.

Wow, truly enjoyable. How is it that it took the whole modern era of wine in California, the last 50 years or so, to recognize the virtues of Grenache Blanc? To the Perrin and Haas venture at Tablas Creek we all owe a lot. Thank God for their curiosity and risk taking in introducing varieties unknown. Lime, lime marmalade, Rose's lime, and minerality and riper tree fruits. GB generally has great structure and in this case length on the palate. …

Struts its Rhone breeding. Color of sun-bleached hay with a lush dripping necklace. Lemon pith, minerals and fermenting grapes in the nose -- smells just like the TCV tasting room near Paso Robles. Lemons and grapefruit with notions of roasted almonds on the palate. Light and lively and laden with minerals in the finish. From a seriously under-appreciated varietal. Everyone would be planting this grape if they knew how to make a wine like this. Let's call it what it …

A wonderful summer wine. Has a nice weight to it, medium acidity and a pleasant tart finish. Has a nice sweet and tart fruit thing going on with flavors of lemon, apple, peach, pine nut and grapefruit.

Tablas Creek Tasting (At the Vineyard) : Pale gold with substantial legs. Great viscosity and a zesty finish. Fresh, enchanting bouquet of rocky limestone, grapefruit and figgy qualities. Great acidity. A picnic wine with a pedigree.

A wonderful wine from an underrated California producer. I've been a wine club member of Tablas Creek for several years and they're all about understated elegance and finesse in an Old World style. They're very consistent year-over-year and fantastic people - family oriented! This wine is pale yellow with a nose that includes; Granny Smith apples, lemon curd, grapefruit and a hint of vanilla on the backend. The palate shows similar characteristics with racy acidity. It paired beautifully with a …
