Ready to drink, no decantering required. Nice wine. Different from others close to this region. Medium to low acid. Same for tannins.

Very fresh and plummy supported initially with some vigorous tannins, but then developing a creamy richness and notes of white pepper. There was a decent length of finish and as ever another winner from this most reliable of producers. CHP 88pts

Dark dense a bit rustic, overall quite interesting but lacking some depth

Less impressive than the first bottle and felt awkward this time around. I remember now that I was going to save this bottle for 2022+... Oops. OK with pizza this evening, but on this showing would not invest in a case. Half the bottle left for this evening, fingers crossed that a little air may have worked some magic.

Really interesting wine, my first ever taste of this grape variety - a vineyard near Messina. Ruby red in the glass, scents of crushed raspberry and pure floral notes, no sense of wood or earth at all until the palate - fine but slightly dry. The nose I could enjoy for ages and the wine tasted extremely fresh and linear, will be interesting to see what the second bottle is like in a year or two. In terms of value …

Already a good bouquet and taste but it can still mature a few mare years!
