Retail $16. Under screw cap. Before we get started on the wine, I don't understand the whole "un-oaked Chardonnay" thing. Sure, there are times, mostly in California, when oak is used with a very heavy hand on one of the world's most popular white varieties, but does that mean the pendulum *must* swing all the way back to un-oaked? Easy drinking enough and enjoyable. I sampled 2 sips over 2 hours and the rest of the bottle was consumed mostly on night 1 with a tiny amount on night 2 by someone else. Vvv

The wine looks light gold colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like lemon and pear. It tastes like pear and vanilla. The body is medium. The wine has bright texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.

This is some seriously bad Chardonnay. I have never liked un-oaked Chardonnay and this one is no exception. Can't really get a fruit profile and thin wine with an easter egg dye feel. One of those wines they have out at Total Wine hoping you buy it. Can't believe this costs more the Columbia Crest H3.

It may be unoaked, but it has the viscous, oily body that reminds you of super oaky CA wines. However, this has no acid structure to speak of, so it just comes across as flabby. You can do better, even at this price point.

Not a tasting note per se, but a word to the wise. I think I actually shivered when I drank this. I know I made a noise that prompted my husband to say something like "That good, huh?" I have had some pretty good unoaked Chardonnays before, but this was not good. I didn't even finish the glass. I'll probably use the remainder to cook with or more than likely, make vinegar.

This is my second tasting in a short period of time, I felt this was about the same, it's very light in style, but the creamy component makes up for the lack of oak. I still don't see the facination in making an un-oaked Chardonnay.

Lemon and cream are fairly dominate, it doesn't have any oak but the creamy characteristic is still there so it's a good simple chardonnay for those that like little to no oak. There really isn't any complexity, but what did you expect.
