A really interesting wine, on first mouthful, not very attractive, but subsequently it offers many nuanced aromas and flavours. A rather disturbing medium gold colour. The gewurtz gives lovely floral notes and spice and with the food, the riesling seemed to provide some lovely citrus aftertaste. We paired with grilled salmon fillets, avocado olive and lime, mushrooms and eggplant. Certainly one of the more interesting blends I have tasted! Lots of orange - almost marmalade notes, honeysuckle, cashew, nougat, maybe a bit of Turkish delight too. It’s worth a glass but prob best shared amongst 4-5ppl

Dinner with Gavin at Bistrode : Blind. Apricot, musk, lemon, passion fruit and some smoke - plenty of interest. A smidge of residual sugar, but finishes austere toward the finish. Medium length and depth - really quite interesting.

Tasmania Unbottled : Expressive nose - spice, lemon, floral. Excellent texture. Balanced with good length and a mineral spine. Delicious.
