Drank with M and E at Aman. Drinking well now and should continue to drink beautifully for the next 10+ years.

First bottle of the family trip and it was a good one. Glassware at rental left much to be desired but regardless of that detal we enjoyed this 2007 Rive Droite. Garnet in color. The fruit still has a lot of life yet while still introducing second and tertiary notes. My only point reduction on this would be the amount of oak/vanilla notes that seem to overshowed the complexity and layers behind the scenes. No decant and consumed over 2 …

Such a beauty. Nice dark plush fruit from the merlot with that beautiful core/structure from the cab. A truly gorgeous wine that goes on forever.

It has been a year since I tried a bottle. I opened it three hours before dinner and once again the cork broke. So I decanted through a vinturi. I put it back in the bottle and we went to the club to meet our friends for my wifes birthday dinner. The nose was all fruit the palate was dark cherry, dark plums, licorice and forest floor. The finish was medium to long.

Double decanted for an hour, deep ruby, black cherry with a touch of vanilla, med. tannins, very long finish; delicious & went beautifully with the morel mushrooms at Roger & Kimberley's, drink or hold

The cork broke upon extraction and I had to push it through then decanted through a vinturi. Let it sit for a couple of hours. The nose was dark fruit. The palate was plums, dark cherries, mocha and earth. The finish was long and more of the earthiness came through.

Garnet visage with long legs. A light to medium nose with only the faint semblance of dark fruit. On the tongue strong notes of blackberry, raspberry, and black cherry with some earthy tones. The finish was lingering with hints of pepper that lasted for some time. Really enjoyed this wine

The nose is very expressive with notes of violets, plums, cranberry, truffle and bitter chocolate. On the mouth, the wine is well balanced with medium acidity and tannin. Waves of red fruits liquored and spice. This wine has a long finish. Drinking nicely right now (always does this time of year)!

Big and fresh fruit, and certainly too much for me. Black cherry, blackberry, boysenberry and raspberry combine with mocha and dark earth notes. Not unpleasant but a very forward and modern style that could benefit from more time in the bottle, potentially a real decant, but certainly a pairing with a savory dish with some sweet and fruit notes (which I did not do).

Delicously rich and round. I might have guessed 60/40 cab instead. Loved the fruit and mouthfeel. Can't wait to try another bottle after a few years.
