Domaine François Mikulski Meursault 1er Cru Gouttes d'Or

Nose: white flower, orange blossom, caramel, creme brulee, nail polish Notes: 13% ABV. I must say this is not so impressive and a little top heavy. Although part of the nose was quite nice but there's a kind of pungent finish to it and the palate lacks the freshness and fruits. Quite a disappointment this one turned out to be unfortunately. A fresh lemon and lime juice core is flanked by cardamom and pulverized granite notes that add interest to the medium and agreeable delivery of flavor. Beautifully weighted and succulently round mid-palate, showing typical characteristics of both Mikulski and Meursault. A gratifying finish that stays in the middle lane and carries its tension in more of a gentle housing than an overly zippy demeanor.
