May have been too old but more likely just not my style. Not very integrated, with strong alcohol burn at the end. Big sweet berry fruit up front with the aforementioned alcohol wave at the end. Tasted like very cheap wine.

What a surprise Not an aficionado of Portuguese reds. Had a few of the "big boys" years ago and they tasted like Port lite. This was a balanced red wine 13.5% Mouth watering red fruit, with just enough tannins to make it work Really glad I bought it

WOW!!!!! Fresh jammy black fruit, figs, coffee, salinity and minerality abound. Amazing alpine like aromas. One of the most expressive 7 year old $15 wines that have ever had. This reminds me of teroldego from northern Italy.

Fallow purple in color with nose of candied cherries and sweet tobacco. On the palate, the wine is racy with tart cherries, sweet tobacco, earth and hints of petrol. Leads into a crisp, dry and somewhat acidic short to medium finish of sour cherry and earth.

Bright medium to dark ruby colour. Some reduction blew off after some aeration. Good, pure red fruit, cherry, blood orange, spices, a herbal aspect and some chocolate as well as hints of cigarette tobacco and cigarette smoke, backed by a spine of lively acidity, with fine, ripe tannin and very good persistence. Medium-bodied, with good balance and developing complexity. Very balanced and harmonious after two hours in the decanter. Equally good on day three. Wow! Easily one of the top …

Purchased for $13. It's been 3mo since I had this wine. Actually opened for dinner, but then "stuff happened" and didn't get around to drinking it. Vacu-vin and threw in the fridge overnight. Decided to try a glass with lunch. WOW!!!! Either this really improved in the past 3mo, or the air did this great. Beautiful earthy spice that I really love in Portuguese wine. Spice, leather, a hint of tar and some juicy red fruits. Great acidity and firm …

A nice big (not too big, not a fruit bomb) complicated and somewhat spicy + herbs blend with lots of different small flavors, as if you mixed some tempranillo w, I dunno, European merlots, plus someone below said cab franc, which is exactly right. Dry, which I mention only because so many red blends from western Europe are huger and fruity (not California-fruity, but you know). Maybe even 90. (Suckling would give it 91-92.) I am less smitten by its …

Needs lots of air or more time in the cellar. Was best 2 days after opening. This bottle was earthier than the first bottle. Great QPR.

I had low expectations for this wine was very surprised. I'm not a big fan of Lisboa wines. Most are forgettable... but not this one. Dark color. The initial impression on the palate is a big Cabernet Franc.... but then it suddenly takes several twists and turns and changes into a big Pinot Noir... but the acidity is amazing! It totally restrains the wine so it isn't blowsy. I love this wine! It's not going to rock your world, but …

A pleasingly rustic wine, with leather, earth and hints of old barrels. Good QPR. I can see this working well with hearty winter food.

Purchased for ~$16. I was told that you need to let this breathe for 30mins and consume with food. Glad we listened, because I'm not a fan of Lisboa wines, but I enjoyed this. Dark translucent garnet. Nose of earth, tar, graphite, spice and dark fruits. Same on the palate with only a hint of sweetness, which was welcome, since I find most Lisboa wines are overly sweet. This was a nice surprise. Grade: B+
