Got it 10+ years ago at the winery and it just got lost in my cellar. I thought it was going to be past its prime. It lost a little luster, but still held up pretty well. Well structured. Sour cherry and purple floral notes on the nose. Dusty tannins jump out on the palate with notes of Cranberry and sour cherry with subtle underlying notes of espresso and dark chocolate.

Kept passing by this wine in my cellar and finally decided to open it. It was better than I expected, really nice ripe cherries. Not a long finish and still tannic (which I liked). A glass while cooking and another paired with pork loin was very enjoyable. Was a member of Ehlers years ago and its a reliable winemaker. I don't drink a lot of Cabernet Francs..but I would drink this again if it wasn't my last bottle... The wine …

Popped and poured. Medium ruby color. Nose of cocoa dusted raspberries and tart red fruit with a hint of pyrazine in the background. Not showing too much oak which was nice. Similar flavors on the palate with mostly red berry fruits and dark chocolate with a little spice. Medium acid and tannin and a mostly dry finish. Very enjoyable sipping wine but showed even better when paired with a little black truffle cheese.

Wine characteristic of St. Helena can franc. While Keenan makes a great cab franc, Ehlers slays with this wine. This still has years of greatness left.

Red fruit and blue fruit on the nose. More hollow in the mid palate.

#CabFranc Day : Nearly opaque violet color. Initially it shows appealing and effusive baking spice aromas, which give way to black cherry, plum, vanilla aromas complicated by hints of cassis and red pepper and sandalwood. On the palate it's medium-bodied, and harmonious with a juicy acidity and a supple texture featuring well integrated velvety tannins with black cherry, plum, a bit of red currant, spice, and vanilla with just the right about of herbaceousness typical of Cabernet Franc. Long finish. …

50% new French oak. Medium nose shows pine, red plum, blackberry, violets. Palate matches, combines fresh fruit with green notes, layered together really nicely, integrated oak. Finish lingers with the fruit in a pretty structure. Very good wine.

Excellent and early drinking as usual, but better on day two.

Garnet color. Cherry, cola, and stemmy aromas. Cherry, tobacco, and plum flavors lead to a menthol finish.

Taste of plums/prunes. With a hint of licorice It is too young. Needs a bit of time to allow the first bit of harshness to pass By the end of the first glass. It was much smoogher
