TN same as before. After 4 hours of decant the mid-palate depth improves superbly. Finish becomes more energetic smoother and delicious.

Very balanced. Complex, with nicely integrated oak, dark fruit and fine tannins

Rock solid Napa Cab. It doesn’t linger too long on the tongue, but it is a definite pleasure. Not sure it will improve much, so drink ‘em if you got ‘em!

Very dark, inky purple. Drink nicely with a 2-hr decant. Moderate acidity and tannins. Notes of stewed dark frujit, pencil lead, and dark chocolate. Very nice.

As soon as you pour into the glass the color sets the tone. Deep garnet dark Purple color. Nose is full of dark chocolate, vanilla, cassis and sweet dense molasses. Beauty here is that the nose is transformed into the palate and it is full bodied, mouth-coating, indisputably delicious cabernet, ripe red fruits, ripe blueberries, blackberry, dark fruit, (PNP palate has molasses and later it transforms into cassis) sweet tobacco, vanilla, chocolate, luxurious cassis, spices, mild new leather. Also mild …

One hour decant. Deep dark magenta color. Blackberry, blueberries, dark chocolate, and chaparral. Smooth, dry palate. Firm tannins on the medium long+ finish. My wife enjoyed this more than I did. It’s good. Very classic Napa CS. Enjoyed with old friends in NYC. Impromptu 20-year graduate school reunion for my wife.

Few hour slow ox. Deep dark, vibrant magenta color. Blackberry, raspberry, and oregano cracker. Very smooth, dry palate. Firm tannins on the medium long+ finish. This is very elegant, but it’s holding back quite a bit. It likely needs two more years. My score is just a placeholder.

Wine Spectator 40th Anniversary; 10/21/2021-10/23/2021 (Marriott Marquis) : Napa cabernet for sure but with some balance to the fruit. There's a bit of baking spice here too that helps keep the fruit more in check. Very big tannins. It's one of those wines where the flavor becomes almost all tannin right at the end and then it just dissapates a bit. From a vineyard in the Stags Leap region.

NYWE Big aromas of dark extracted violets. Dark firm black cherry & plum vibrant fruits. Nice depth and mouthwatering acidity & mineral. Well made and friendly, iron fist in velvet glove. Gobs of rich fruit and intense bright structure made to last and improve. Quite good. Wappo Stags Leap - rocky soil, foggy, near by Realm Moonracer. 2018 long slow ripening year. Near perfect conditions. 250 cases.
