Showing a lot of oak and vanilla, in fact at this point that is the dominant impression of the wine. Tannins are integrated, the acid is still there, but there is a ton of vanilla to get past at the outset. Smooth and inoffensive, I could see people enjoying this, just not to my taste. I do not see a lot of upside in holding this wine. Drink now or soon.

Enjoyable, with rich dark fruit. It seems like there's a bit more oak than in previous vintages, and IMHO not quite as good.
