It was okay, significantly better than the other bottle we drank from this vintage. My wife was okay with it, I was less thrilled with it, which I should be at this price point. Overall, drinkable but very disappointing.

This seemed over the hill & tired. Lots of tobacco, sous bois and even a little raisin-y. Not much fruit at all. I was surprised with only 6 years in bottle.

PNP into Riedel Burgundy glass (“Leaf” day): Pale purplish to the eyes. 115 & 777 clones only. 580 cases produced. Hotter vintage. More straightforward than the 2019 tasted alongside, a little more about typical bluish cherries and berries here. More fruit forward on palate too. More ripe and sweet spices like cinnamon. 93 points.

Quite fruity but with an earthy undertone. Medium- acidity. Pomegranate, raspberry, oak, baking spices, clove, forest floor. Comes off as a bit lighter (and simpler) than similar styles of Pinot noir. Very drinkable and will keep well.

Possibly some residual bottle shock. The fruit was a little bottom heavy - not light and delicate but not a fruit bomb either. Improved with an hour in the glass. Look forward to retasting in a few years.
