Dark and brooding with fruit and personality, this is an amazing wine. Dark ripe black fruits, mocha, vanilla, and caramel notes are first on the attack. Palate has a bright and minerally edge sitting underneath the muddled fruit, spice, and mocha. The chewy tannins get lost in the sweet fruit. Long finish rounds things out. Just beautiful. Minutes later, I still have this beautiful and spiced fruit compote on the taste buds.

Wow! Deep purple that looks like a young wine. Nose is powerful and complex with sweet spices, black and red fruits, white pepper, earth, leather, and a bit of toffee. Palate is rich with rustic tannins, plum, toffee sweetness, dark chocolate, coffee, and such a long finish. Nice balance between a developing earthiness and an acidity that is just enough to maintain brightness. Finish is very long and sweetly spicy. This fantastic wine still has years of life and great …

terrific wine, equivalent to a fine grand cru bordeaux. 30 second finish, smoky perfection. clearly three or four years left before decline
