Brought out for French themed party and these are drinking well. Balanced, dark fruit and approachable. A very nice QPR wine.

not as dark as a lot of other C9P, also not that heavy but really nice, good structure and good length, I guess the wine would need another 2-3 years to be at its top

Wow, this CdP has matured very nicely since the bottle I opened 3 years ago, which was already excellent. Now, it is WOTN shared with BoJos the night before Jack's birthday. The depth and suavity of this wine can only come from vines with a century of growth under their belts.

Upon opening the notes are mainly of musty sawdust, with bitter cherries and iodine in the background. 50 minutes in it begins showing its age, exhibiting a Tawny-like nose and notes of black cherries, dry hibiscus, and gunpowder on the palate. At this point it's making for a great pairing to a French onion soup. 2 hours in it then mellows out; it's now medium-full bodied with drying tannins and flavors of cherries followed by a touch of gunpowder, finishing …

What a pleasant surprise. Light bodied for a CdP, but not lacking for fruit or flavor. Rich dark fruit and a very long finish.

Third bottle in my month of CdP. Kreydenweiss turns in an excellent performance. Decanted for an hour into Eisch glass. Purple with ruby edges. Aromas of fall fruits and baking spice. Tastes of blackberries, dark cherries, and anise. Tannins hold strong, but not overwhelming, a strong finish. Altogether, this brings Teutonic order to Gallic sensuality.

This wine opened beautifully and was just singing after a couple of hours of air. Tonight this full bodied wine was all sweet red fruit, garrigue, licorice, white pepper and fairly firm, chalky tannins on the finish. Great depth and complexity combined with a long satisfying finish make this a really stunning wine tonight.

Needed a couple of hours in the decanter to open. This is a big, fairly new world CdP with an aggressive palate of dark fruit, licorice, garrigue and firm, chewy tannins. Very nice if you're a fan of big, bold, CdP.

Needs at least an hour in e decanter to open up. Medium complexity and finish. Dark fruits, and peppery. Good with lamb.

Very closed on opening. Needed almost 3 hours in the decanter to open, then displayed, dense dark fruit, licorice, leather, garrigue, white pepper, abit of iodine and fairly firm tannins on the finish in this full bodied wine.
