Gerstacker Weinkellerei Nürnberger Markt Glühwein

Does not taste like wine.

Like its chilled cousin Sangria, Gluwein is easy to make yourself from whatever cheap bottles you have laying around the cellar. But if you're going to get it pre-made, this is a pretty good brand. Lots of orange and allspice in this one, but not overwhelming. Good sweetness. Perfect served hot in front of a crackling fire. Pretty darned true to flavor for the originals, served outdoors at Bavarian Christkindlemarkt (Christmas Markets). Worth a try around the holidays!

Tastes a little like Theraflu, but in an ok way. Would be good in front of a fire after a cold day outside.

Brings me back to Nuremburg. Served warm with cinnamon and cloves, it's a nice warm sipper for such a low price.

Poured for some friends at a party. Seemed like a crowd-pleaser.

Had it warm and expected a spiced wine. Was pleased, it seems to be more properly spiced compared to the similar Witches Brew from Leelanau Cellars in Michigan. Ideal when you come in from a very cold evening outside. Consider this a drink as opposed to a wine. The win is being used as a base for the spices.

Good for a pre made spiced hot wine. A little sweeter than some others on the market, but still pleasant.

very nice for cold weather - in Telluride skiing. Cinnamon, berry and good spice; sweet berry to offset. drank hot - would have been nice to drink through a cinnamon stick

This wine brings back winter memories of Nurnburg. This one is the closest I've tasted to the real thing.

Very nice, excellent when heated. Spices were pleasant, not too overbearing, was a little sweet to balance the spices, but still had good acidity. Very good cold weather/holiday wine.

Nothing special really. Had it over ice instead of heated. Has a nice nose of berrys and spices. Had a clove taste and wasnt to bad over all as a sipping wine. Seemed to be more of a holiday type wine then just an everyday wine. Would be good around Christmas as an after dinner wine.

Very nice and smooth when heated up. Mostly rasberry with mildness of spice. After going on a motorcycle ride with it being 45 degrees, this was perfect to get warmed up.

This was just not fun at all. After a nice evening of tasting many other enjoyable wines, I can't believe that we heated this up and actually put it in our mouths. What was I thinking? I knew that nothing good could come of this. This just isn't for me...

Tasted warm in tradition with the wine's history. Aromas of blackberries and boysenberries on the nose. Tasted of dark fruits and spicy, with a hint of black pepper. Nice moderate warm finish for a cold winter's night. Nothing terribly special, but neat to taste for the holdiays.
