J.J. Adeneuer Ahrweiler Rosenthal Spätburgunder Großes Gewächs

Has come together very nicely. A lovely, soft yet powerful Pinot Noir of international standing. The wood is not prevalent anymore but has integrated very well. I am never sure why this one should be inferior to the Gärkammer. It can be enjoyed on its own or with something refined and without a rich sauce. Now and up to 2020.

Tasted at the premiere Grosses Gewächs at Kloster Eberbach 25/9/2011. Generous use of oak adds a spicyness and smokiness and caramelised coating to slightly sour fruit. Good wine nevertheless.
