J. Confuron-Cotetidot Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaut St. Jacques

Deep red, medium weight , light rim . Crushed red berry, crushed dry herb, dark spice, meat stock, bright and Intense fragrance . Medium weight, smooth and fleshy, fine tannins. Deep red berry, hint of dark plum, rich meat and earth complexity, nicely integrated. Mature, ready, moving towards a clear secondary profile but at the moment the fruit is still winning.

Drinking beautifully, long and soft with a hint of minerality.

Very nice nose of bright red fruit, cherries + cranberries, but too much oak in the palate, plus a bit of bitterness which makes it sort of taste like a strawberry yoghurt and not sure if the vanilla/cream like oak component will ever go away.
