Matanzas Creek Winery Chardonnay Bennett Valley

Buttery, but not too heavy. Very good.

Great well balanced chardonnay, benefits just enough from oak, slight toast flavor, not too much oak, excellent wine

Smooth and melon fruit with buttery backdrop. Palate is tinged with sweet apricot and honeydew. Final flavors are floral with distinct gardenia. Finish is butter and a nose of sweet florals with notes of fleshy fruit. Low acidity. Wonderful value and not oaky so it will play nicely even in late spring and summer if you chill it a bit.
