Arbios Cabernet Sauvignon

Lovely wine, easy drinking by itself and doesn’t necessarily need a pairing. 14 years and it kept quite well. Notes of cocoa, oak and cedar. Dark fruits including plum and cherry, a touch of pomegranate. Baking spices. Read that this had harsh tannins but after 14 years it’s much softer than what reviews would indicate.

Clear pale garnet with medium rim browning. Choolate, strawberry, blueberry. Low acids, very low tannins. Short balanced finish. Locals.

Solid CS, no flaws but nothing exceptional either, just entering, imo, it's window.

Review 2006 Arbios Cabernet: Served with a 4 hour, slow braised brisket. It's a better than decent cab sauv; full body with a semi-dry finish. Earthy on the nose with tartness and very light fruit notes.

Tannins brought this one down. Masked any real fruit. Not my favorite by Amy means. However one tannin fan at the table found it to his liking.

Opened up nicely after 2 hours of decanting. Really nice and deep.

a bit bland, never opened up. Only opened an hour in the bottle so maybe a full two hour decant would have helped. Thin and incomplete.
