Wellanschitz Blaufränkisch Altes Weingebirge Mittelburgenland

This light-colored old vine Blaufränkisch from Mittelburgenland has an attractive feminine bouquet of vanilla, red berries and prunes. On the palate the wine is rather light in weight, but it is impressively well balanced and refreshing. There is a pure and sweetish juicy cherry fruit, prunes and a gentle smoky vanilla/milk chocolate note. Quite Burgundian in style. The lack of depth and tannins is compensated by the overall harmony.
