(17/20) Not sure why this outstanding GG gets such a low rating on Vivino. This is a complex, quite opulent wine. From 50-year-old vines. Schäfer has only 0,6 ha of this vineyard, but I'm happy they do ?? Medium+ intense aromas of pineapple heart, nectarine, tangerine, lemon zest, blossom, almond, biscuit, green tea, wet stone, flint. In het glas lichtgoud en helder. In de neus appel van groen tot iets rood. Lichte toets van tropisch fruit, onrijpe ananas. In de mond hoge zuren, medium intensiteit. Het fruit komt door en het zuur zorgt voor een tinteling op de tong. Daarna komt het tropische fruit met een licht zoetje. De afdronk is fijn lang. Een Riesling in balans. Het is er allemaal. Heel fijn glas.
