Big wine, dark cherry, even plum and blackberry, still loads of fruit, but still not much in the way of secondary notes, long finish, one of the rare Calif. Pinot Noirs that had significant sediment,

Drank in August 2018, it was on the top of the drink now list. Big bold pinot with a hint of pepper on the back. Could have gone another year or two. I'd like to find some more.

Head and shoulders better than the 2011 Black Kite Stony Terrace (Anderson Valley) we had last weekend. The Soberanes had lively acidity that worked very well with flame-cooked pork chops. 2-hour decant recommended. Bright cherry with notes of umami, raspberry, and tea.

Popped and poured. Good right off the bat, but softened with a little time. Nice nose of earth. A little young, but drinkable now.

PnP w/30 min glass time. Clear, purple/ruby color. Very nice, intense nose. Fine wine with good acid and definitely not over extracted. Med red/blue fruit, good balance/integration, long finish. Nothing off. $61

Burgundy color with a bouquet and flavor of tart raspberries. Modest depth and finish with a bit of alcohol peeping through. Pleasant but not a star.

Very dark ruby color; intriguing, intense, baked black raspberry, black cherry, baked apricot, blackberry pie filling nose; rich, tasty, tight, tart black raspberry, tart black cherry palate with medium acidity; needs 2-plus years; medium-plus finish (14.9% alcohol; sample provided by winery)
