Getting old for a morellino. So if it's fruit you are looking for, you missed the window. But it is starting to show some wonderful aged character, which is especially fun for the price point. Can't say how long that will hold up, but it is drinking really nicely right now!

It's ok. Had better Morellinos di Scansanos on Italy trip last year - but they were more expensive (restaurant markup maybe?). Not much nose, medium bodied dark cherry mid-palate with mild-medium acidity on the inoffensive finish. Not great and not bad for the price.

Inoffensive but deeply disappointing. Minimal aroma, flat on the palate, short finish. I'm frustrated because Morellino di Scansano is an underrated wine and plonk like this will give it a bad name before it has a chance in the U.S.
