Tamburlaine Chambourcin Members Reserve

A year on from my previous note. Definite improvement from previous tasting. Still good colour and similar profile in front palate, but a little eucalyptic now in the mid and a much softer and more balanced finish which fills the mouth. Glad I pushed this for another year. Definitely prime drinking now. I have one last bottle and no more made after Tambourlaine pulled the vines.

Thought I’d give this a few years to see how it would develop. Still deep dark crimson with some purple hues. Berry & musk aromas. Red ripe fruit & cranberry upfront blending into mint with medium acidity in the mid with a slightly narrow but velvety finish which coats the tongue. Not sure if this drank better as a younger wine, but certainly more sophisticated now.
