This one comes from prime sites in Sonoma and Napa and brings a whack of ripe and rich dark fruit with notes of prune, chocolate, floral hint, herbs and toast. This velvety, lush wine will be a great option for Merlot's classic pairing of lamb, but try it with shepherd's pie, duck or roasted pork loin

This was not good 16 months ago, and it is even worse now -- too old, so it is quite sour now. (Unfortunately, I had two bottles of it.) However, I used it in a Coq au Vin, and drank the rest of the bottle with it --but I definitely would not advise drinking it by itself without any kind of food!

Nice deep ruby colour. Not a lot of aromatics, but a nice nose with blackberries, and a hint of tobacco and smoke. Mild tannins and a well-balanced flavour. A smooth long finish. A decent Merlot for the price

Big legs, purple. Nose - forest blueberries, dusty earth, almost candy-like fruitiness, hint of cedar. Mouth - inky forest fruits with a distinct harsh greenness, like chewing on a fresh cut blueberry bush with some berries still attached. Throw some bitter cocoa in for good measure! Decently interesting with some really nice fruits, but overpowered by oak and too harsh for me to like it.

Enjoyed this at the Red Lion in Lewiston, ID. Great, classic Red Lion, the way it used to be, last of it"s kind. This is a terrific wine, nose of mocha and dark fruits. A deep, rich body, w/flavors of dark cherry, and dark chocolate, w/a long finish. Great value, at this price point.

Have enjoyed this one. Terrific as soon as it was opened, and got better over the course of the bottle. Deep purple color. Notes of dark berries, currant and some trace of leather. A little chunky sediment at the bottom of the bottle, and on the cork as it was pulled, but nothing that detracted from the wine.

tasted blind. ruby red color with blackberry and rasberry on the nose. fruity with smooth tannins and a bit of chocolate on the finish, which is of medium length. a bit of syrah and cabernet in this as well.
