Opened this bottle with fresh green beans, mushroom risotto and reverse seared ribeyes. It held up great with the richness of the meal. Very balanced, smooth beyond belief. Full bodied with a great finish. Unfortunately, it was my last bottle. Wish I had laid down more than 3. Side note, cork was a bit crumbled.

Enjoyed on Christmas Eve. Wine of the night. A beautiful Washington Cab that is 15 years young. Drinking very nicely. Secondary and terchiary notes on the nose and a full body finish. Way to go Garrison Creek!

When i pulled the cork, which was sound, there was an immediate but slight "off" aroma wafting from the bottle. I could just smell it on the cork also. I gave the bottle a very sound double decanting. Fortunately, whatever it was blew off and the wine opened up nicely. The second half of the bottle was possibly even better on Day 2. To the other reviewers, the emperor wears no clothes……… Opens with an herbal, slight licorice or anise, nose. On the palate a bit of seared meat with rosemary and thyme, and salt notes. Plenty (always it seems with Garrison Creek) of Oak, which is rough and acidic. Much improved compared with earlier tasting - crazy nose notes, incredibly well integrated, silky mouthfeel, lovely fruit notes and excellent finish - this is singing.

So worth the wait! My limited experience drinking Garrison Creek wines is that they greatly benefit from some cellar time. We drank this recently and there were luscious cassis and purple fig notes. The tannins had become soft and supple but still gave the wine strength and structure. Truly stunning.

This wine is in a great place. In its prime, but likely not fading any time soon. The nose is full of rich dark fruit, with hints of oak, game meats, and baking spice. Drinking exceptionally well right now. There is an intensity on both the nose and palate that did not exist before. Super rich and concentrated cab notes, soft with a level of nice minerality around a core of deep dark fruit. Medium to long finish.
