Domaine Bouvachon-Nominé Châteauneuf-du-Pape

Blind at store: Ruby with garnet-orange rim; Stewed red fruits, lavender, dried pot-pouri, black tea, savory herbs, dried grapefruit peel, fennel, juniper; mushrooms; silky, dry tannins, medium body. This was easy.

Echo notes above, but a bit rounder than described; I really like this character, esp. the garrigue,barn, and granite and slight herbal finish.

Dried herbs, dried cherry, moss, medium tannins, slight appealing barnyard aspect with a touch of pepper, granite and plum; a lighter style with a dry finish, minerals and cherry.
