First taste is bitter. Then it remains bitter.

Craziness! NV Paso! Smells is pretty hard to take. I wouldn't go for it at $12.

Basically decent, but not exciting.

Ok fruit, kind of harsh, better blends available for my tastes.

Cherries, Pinot Noir-like blend, good fruit but well-balanced with some earth and mineral qualities. Perfectly decent table wine.

Interesting but not sure that its really worth the price ($11) compared to other lesser priced Columbia Crest or Australian blends. At an under $12 tasting everyone that tasted it liked it, but most chose others as more appealing when prices were considered.

Nose shows licorice, plum, and a bit of toasted walnut, inviting. Moderate flavor, lots of dried fruit -- raisin especially, but some plum and date. Not especially exciting; too prune-juicy for me. Well-balanced, with a solid finish.

Hmmm...smell of barnyard...not exactly what I want to smell. Very low average wine.

Lots of fruit, enough acid and the oaks in check. Try another bottle.

I think that there's a little too much going on here - this wine kind of underwhelmed me.

This must be the ultimate blend, 18 varietals I believe. Oak, smoke, vanilla, medium finish. We liked it, will definitely buy again.

Not very good. A medium bodied confection with little appeal. I'd much rather drink the Frontier Red, or Marietta OVR.

This mad scientist creation didn't do it for me. All over the place.

Surprisingly good blend of 18 grapes at a low price point makes for the perfect pizza wine. Smooth drinker, with nice acidity, and not at all mushy. Cab Franc (herbal aromas), Zinfandel (blackberry fruit), and Petit Sirah (richness and body) make up the backbone of the blend, but there is a definite softness to it (pinot, grenache, dolcetto) as well. Great house red candidate.

Decanted for nearly 3 hours. Got this through the Toad Hollow 333 wine club. This certainly is a big boy. I remember tasting it last summer at the tasting room in Healdsburg and not liking it. This time, I knew what to expect. Tons of varietals in this cuvee (I assume it's a cuvee since it's NV, but perhaps not). Surprisingly, the nose has the rose petals of a Pinot, along with both bright and dark red fruit as a …

This is certainly an odd little gem of a wine. You won’t find a vintage on it and it's made from 15 different red grape varitials (Primarly Cabernet Sauvignon, Barbera, and Refosco along with Syrah, Primitivo, Sangiovese, Merlot, Zinfandel, Dolcetto, Cabernet Franc, Petit Sirah, Grenache, Mourvedre, Petit Verdot, and Malboc). The irony is it has a nose strangely reminiscent of one of the only red varietals not represented, that being a California Pinot Noir. Tastes of soft lush red fruits, …

Tasted at dinner at Monterra as part of a wine flight featuring red blends. I wasn't expecting much as I have not been too impressed by any Toad Hollow wines in the past. However, this one surprised me and I enjoyed it. It was fairly simple, but had nice red and black fruits with a pleasant nose. A fairly decent QPR.
