Testarossa Chardonnay Sleepy Hollow

Great wine, still plenty of fruit. Drink now - will not get any better.

Popped and poured with dinner. Light straw color in the glass. Balanced oak with notes of apple on the nose.

Popped and poured while making dinner. Good acidity. Notes of hazelnut and lemon on the nose/finish. Fully evolved. Drink them if you have them.

Tasted 4-12-09. Had the last taste from a bottle that had been opened earlier & was near room temperature. Pale amber color. Rich nose of pear, generous amounts of oak, and lots of malolactic aromas. Palate was rich, elegant, smooth, carried considerable oak well, showed golden delicious apple, some minerals, a bit of honey custard. Rich mouth feel, creamy, malolactic but not oily, overall a classy impression, & a nice quaff.
