Domaine Bzikot Pére et Fils Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Perrières

Pours out a beautiful golden straw color. Ripe pineapple, golden apple, vanilla, and wet stone. Quite nice aromatically. It’s full bodied, with med acid and low tannin. This bottle is showing great - better than last time which makes me think there is some bottle variation here. It’s in a nice spot and should hang in for another 5 years. Drink now.

A richer and fuller expression than the Caillerets served alongside. Ripe apple, candied pineapple, brioche and vanilla. Full body, med- acid, low tannin. It’s a richer style that will only pick up more weight from here on out. Drink now.

Private Dining at Bar Seraya (Seraya Crescent, Singapore) : Disappointing from this house and a 1er Cry at that. This had a big, rich nose, rather un-2014 like, with notes of caramel corn and ripe yellow fruit playing against a honeyed background. There was a whole lot of new oak character in this as well. Bought in 2017 from a reliable wine trader and stored since then in my cellar. Beautiful yellow colour and nice floral bouquet, but apart from that I could not find anything special. I do agree to the tasting note of "soyhead".
