This was.....fine. Easy drinking red fruits and light tannins, but lacking any sort of excitement. Certainly not a re-buy as there are so many more Beaujolais out there at similar price points that are much more compelling.

medium ruby colour. very expressive aromas and flavours of red and black cherry, pomegranate and cranberry with herbs, exotic spices and a developing gamey note along with the smoky, earthy base. dry, with medium body, plus acidity and soft-textured plus tannins, it is broader in mouth than the body would suggest, with beautiful integration of complex accents and the expressive, developing fruit. very good length. quite drinkable and, compared to the 2023, showing the positive path of development… has exuberance …

Tamarillo, strawberry, roses. Ok balance and length. Drink now to 2034

Beautiful vibrant nose, more savoury and earthy than fruit, though there are ripe black cherries in the mix. The main impression is of gravel or crushed rocks. The energy continues to the palate, where ripe cherries meet fine, grainy tannins and fresh acidity. It’s incredibly moreish, with this great balance between sweetness and bitterness. A touch of warmth at 13.5% but nothing obtrusive. Very good plus. Has potential for ageing over the next 3-5 years or so.

Dark red to raspberry. With considerable air this shows a lot of ripe berry fruit. Lovely and lively balance. Medium body.

Dark fresh well concentrated.

Vibrant, berries, long, délicat.

Dark, fragrant of the crushed grape and very ripe berries, full bodied. Long finish. Ripe and very good.
