Don't know why I waited so long on these. Really enjoying it. Meaty and deep. Acid is low, but it is Australian. Last bottle

Very enjoyable. No bricking in this bottle, Deep purple/mahogany. Gamey/cherry nose. Black fruit palate that is deep and rich. Bright acidity, nice finish.

Its age showed, with bricking color and tamed aroma. Ripe berries with some tartness to it. No tannins. Medium finish. Drink very well, and not a bad ageability for a CH, 8 years and counting. Needless to say, its best days were a year or two ago. CH offered really great values in his early days. The infusion of the capitalist money and the expansion diminished the values greatly. Just my opinion.

Another flavorful bottle of Aussie Shiraz. It was like a blend of blue berries with ripe red cherries and a dash of acidity.

Much concurred with the recent notes, aged nicely, tight tart dark berry at the release in 2007 turned into much softer, fuller syrah.

Yum! This wine is aging very well. Much rounded and smooth now. Love the nose. Went very well with my herb roasted chicken. Back to the meal.

Good Shiraz with sweet red fruits and a liitle licorice on finish. Great match with lollipop lamb

Popped and poured my last bottle through the Soiree aerator to accompany a lunch of leftover pasta in mushroom bolognese. Murky, brownish color, pruney nose and flavors. Overripe and imbalanced with only a hint of its former concentration. Still drinkable but barely. So sad--- a good wine gone bad.

Lots of dark berry and integrated tannins with a medium finish. Doesn't seem to be getting any better, so time to drink up

Not sure whether this bottle was spoiled or whether is bottle was filled from the dregs of barrel. Hyper-tart like a raw aspirin and flattened/flabby to the tongue.

Rich and smooth. Almost creamy. Some dark fruit but also some vanilla. This is an interesting wine and I've enjoyed the bottles I've had. QPR rank- 3/5 @$10.

Best bottle of this to date. It seems to have picked up structure as odd as that sounds. Still drank well on second day.

A nice maroon color. Sweet, peppery crushed berries and cherries on the nose with some vanilla and leather. Medium to full body with ripe tannins and good acidity. On the palate the fruit is redder than on the nose with sweet cherries leading the way with peppery blackberries lending support. Good length on the finish. A nice, ripe, but not syrupy shiraz.

Deep ruby color. Nose of dark berry fruit, spice, leather and various earthy notes. Palate displayed an initial blast of sweet, dark plummy fruit & spice that (relatively quickly) faded into a disappointingly weak mid-palate. Pleasant full body, with good acidity to balance the fruit, but the finish was all tongue-smacking tight green tannin.

Light on the berry, heavy on the barnyard. Like a very heavy cheap pinot noir, which is strange. did not enjoy too much.

Day 1 - bitter on the tip of the tongue, the rest is crisp berries. Long finish of the bitter flavor, which is unpleasant. Day 3 - bitterness is gone, fruit a little more round and full. Still not great, but fine for the price.

Showed great potential on the first night with a full-on steak dinner, not so much a few days later. Full, rich, and fruity are indeed apt descriptors, but there seems to be something missing in the totality of the wine. It's quite good, but has left us guessing about which direction age and development may take it.

Classic Barossa Shiraz. Meaty, full fruit & body, well-integrated tannins. Good with meaty fare. Somewhat sweet. Good qpr, not great.

Drank with NY strip and brussel sprouts. Full flavor with tons of fruit. Sweet, but a little tart, too. Tart faded over the course of a couple of hours. Overall a nice wine. Probably about what I would expect for the price. Not as good as the 2006 Two Hands Angels Share from last night, which is in the same price range.

Deep purple with an immediately approachable blackberry, oak, and juicy plum aroma. There's a lot going on with the nose --licorice, apple pie spice, subtle leather, and black pepper pop out after a few sniffs. On the palate, the funky Merlot note (which people often identify as chocolate), rears its head. Medium to full body with easygoing but relatively balanced tannin and acid. The Viognier clearly adds kick and interest making this wine all together quite pleasant.
