This is a very good Bordeaux, from a very good vintage, at an incredibly low price. Clear ruby of medium intensity, with a touch of garnet on the rim. The nose is clean and of medium intensity, with aromas of black fruit and a kiss of oak. The nose is developing. Decanted for three hours. Tight nose. Initially, the wine was thick and gritty. After a while longer it opened up in the glass. For a 15 dollar wine it was very enjoyable.

This is a really nice wine and it is a very good QPR. According to Wine Searcher, it looks like this is probably only available at Sam's in Chicago and I think the tasting notes they have are pretty right on. Very nice ballance and seems to have the fruit and acidity to age well also. A little roasted marshmallow on both the nose and the palate as well. Storage is tight right now - if not, I would buy …
