Very “Chablisienne” and elegant with bright acidity, lots of mineral expression and light citrus, pear and green apple fruit. Aging beautifully, still pristine but a touch softer. Loved it!

This is a very elegant expression of Chardonnay from Sonoma, CA. Bright energetic and dancing on your tongue with pear, both sweet and tart apple and lemon and lime undertones. Nice long finish. No malolactic fermentation. This was delightful both on its own and with a variety of food.

I love the quality and style of Hanzell wines - their Chardonnay is crisp and clean, no strong presence of oak (9 months in 100% neutral barrel). I get hints of pear and flavors/scents that remind me of persimmon and a little bit of lychee. My wife is not a Chardonnay drinker and really enjoyed this wine. We had it on a hot day with some Fromage D'Affinois and plain crackers, held up just fine with good acidity and 13.1% …
