Very bright fruit forward wine Has some spice and an uplifting acidity.. A bit one dimensional and missing the earth notes I like in French burgs… Reminds me more of willamette valley than french

Big fruit forward wine that offers a lot of joy right away. If this is a representation of ‘22 reds, I’ll be buying quite a few.

Drinking very well now. Open and forward, wonderful juicy and lively red fruited palate with good depth and a bit of complexity and just a hint of tertiary notes. This is in its window now. Great with homemade duck confit. At home with Christian & Lene.

A rather distinct nose of complex spiciness on the forefront and behind it markedly dark cherry driven fruit, earth, toasty oak and some minerally tones. There is something musty about it but I cannot see it being faulty in any way. On the palate it is on the richer side with some muscles to its frame. Popped and poured; enjoyed with cedar plank salmon. The 2017 Hubert Lignier "Grand Chaliot" is about as representative of 2017 Pinot Noir from Burgundy as I can think of. Upon release, these showed pretty well, considering...but in just a few years, time has caught up to it. It's high toned, light, thin, green and overall recalcitrant. Good stuff from a favorite producer. Nice weight, color and palate. Seems that 2017 is a real nice Burgundy vintage.

Very young and tight, serious matter, dark red fruit. Upright, focused, good acidity. Wait a few years for next hit.

Solid wine for the category. Fairly linear, veers toward the darker fruit end of the spectrum. Tannin. Obviously young, shows tension, wouldn't open any additional bottles for at least 3 years.
