Dark core, crimson moving to red at the rim. Savoury aroma of grilled meat, spicy pepper and dark berries. Blackberries, olives, mocha. Medium body, gritty medium tannin. Fresh medium to high acidity. Some sourness at the finish.

Almost still black black in colour thin crimson hue. Creamy plum and blackberry. Very smooth, milk chocolate and blueberry. Almost full body, tannin is very fine and is level throughout. Acidity is well balanced, can’t notice it. Good structure of fruit, still fresh and dominate. Subtle vanilla oak. Very pleased with this wine, beat my expectations. Many years ahead but I’m drinking mine in the near future it is tasting so good.

A massive change from the previous bottle 6 months ago. Dark almost impregnable black colour. Aroma of sawdust, leather and musk. Plum, blackberry jam and cherry. Very smooth wine straight from aerating. Full body and powerful. The lack of hunter wine in this vintage is obvious and a good choice given the vintage. Not near it peak, be interesting to see how it goes over the next 5 to 10 years

Deep purple colour with little hue. Aroma of oak, leather and straw. Blackberry, pepper and spices. Tannin is well balanced but still not very smooth. A bit angular, resulting a sharp aftertaste. I wouldn't go out of my way for another one. Unfortunately I still have 7 in the cellar so I will have to see how it develops.
