Roessler Pinot Noir Bluejay

After 1/2 hr was in a perfect spot. Good re fruit bouquet and flavor.

Decanted immediately before dinner. I liked it, great pinosoity. Ellen thought it Pinot light.

This is much better than my last bottle, which had raisin and prune notes throughout the nose and palate. The wine's nose shows dark cherry fruit with hints of brown sugar. In the mouth it is balanced with round black cherry and touches of tea. Nothing too complex but a very good QPR, I see no reason to hold.

Opened not decanted. The 02 that I opened was flawed so I popped this one. Similar notes: blood colored with sweet dark raisins on the nose. On the palate: medium weight with very dark tastes of dried fruit. Ends with a dry and peppery, raisiny finish. I want to like this better, but I can't muster anything above, Fair.

Very pleasant pinot. Nice bouquet. Smooth and easy to drink. Enjoyable, but not much complexity.

Accidentally left in open decanter all day. It was still quite good with grilled salmon. We consumed 3/4 of the bottle.When I opened it, it tasted like it need short aeration. I think I would have preferred less air nevertheless, the Blue Jay was quite enjoyable with good fruit, that complemented both the salmon and the seal bay with pepper strawberry jam, and thetruffle cheese for dessert. Great value.

Drank in celbration of fathers day with some grilled wagyu hamburgers and some crab salad. Just great. Pure intense fruit in great balance with a little spice note on the finish. Even better on the second night. Only a little bit made it to the second night.

Triumphal Palace: Very bright, briliant purple; nice blueberry and oak notes that blew off a little and made it a nice, balanced, fairly focused pinot.

Birthday at Triumphal Palace : Smokey blueberry nose perfumed with allspice. Rich palate of sweet dark fruits. Nice length and texture. I like these Mendocino Pinots as they seem to hold more structure and showcase a fruit profile more to my liking. Holding it's own right now. No rush to drink up.
