From a magnum, double decanted and enjoyed over a long Christmas dinner, that was nicely developed but yet fresh and juicy with tobacco and forest floor savory and easy drinking.

From a magnum, this was really nice, did not expect to keep that well. Medium weighted, fully matured but still keeping decent freshness and juiciness. Magnums "Uniqato" series are a real bargain.

What a nice surprise here, full of charm and finesse, black fruits and tobacco, velvet tannins, mid bodied, one of the best melnik I've ever drunk.

Bottle just says "Melnik", but the winery website informs that this is the early Melnik grape... Melnik 55, or "Early Melnik", or Ranna Melniška loza, is a hybrid between the traditional old Broadleaf Melnik (Široka Melniška loza) grape and the somewhat obscure French variety Valdiguié. It was an attempt to get a grape that ripnens earlier: Broadleaf Melniik does not get harvested until mid-October, when it is at risk of rot due to cooling weather. Fruit-driven bouquet. Nice palate.
