Powerful wine at age 24. Deep dark color, complex nose. Bouquet of dark berries, chocolate, espresso, vanilla. Oily consistence. Round and harmonious. Long and silky finish.

Cork was weak. Decantered or an hour. Fruit noticed still for a 2000 bottle. Dry on the back....

Decanted two bottles for Christmas dinner -- one was full of sediment and the other clear, but both opened well after an hour or so. Had been cellaring them for about 6-7 years. Great blend, but not as big as I recall, so maybe it has peaked. Still an enjoyable wine, with depth and character. That was the end of my case!

Popped and poured. Very pretty dark ruby/garnet in the glass. Nicely balanced with medium weight. Nose of dark fruit (black raspeberries and black cherries), tobacco and vanilla. Very polished wine with a velvet mouth with dark fruit and a nice chocolate note through the middle. Better without food. Drink or short hold.

Had to open a bottle for the last dinner at spago-pa. Decanted for over an hour at the table. Beautiful nose of integrated oak and sweet cherry liqueur with just a hint of leather, very extracted, but still with a nice crisp acidity. Definitely a food wine, it was great with the beef.

this is a bordeaux blend from a "difficult" vintage. like i'm complaining. not decanted. medium body and very sweet tannins which are soft and approachable. this is outstanding, and easily on par with my standards of the vintage which are hundred acre and sloan, for less money (although still not inexpensive). nevertheless, if you haven't had the opportunity to try this producer, WAKE UP!! black fruit profile, and a long finish. beautifully balanced.

14.3% alcohol. yountville appellation. 84% cabernet sauvignon, 12% merlot, 2% cab franc, 2% petit verdot. i've had several of the top entries from this vintage, including bressler and hundred acre. this wine can run with the big dogs from this maligned year. lovely, lush, elegant, beautifully balanced, medium body, good, but not a long finish. liquid chocolate candy bar profile. integrated tannins, and a dense ruby color. the only negative about this wine is it's price, $85. but i don't …

Tasted on 7/3/04. A quick taste revealed nothing but oak for me. The oak may eventually integrate considering the relative youth of the wine but I would not be on this.

Cassis and vanilla nose; very tasty, with good concentration, cassis and vanilla with firm tannins; medium finish
