Manfredi Franco Terre Siciliane Bianco

Sunshine in a bottle from Manfredi Franco — a blend of Grillo, Zibibbo, and Catarratto from Marsala, with about three days on the skins as far as I can tell. Bursting with tropical fruit, orange blossom, and almond, it’s lifted by a pronounced stony salinity. There’s quite a lot of that minerally, salty grip in fact, and together with a touch of tannin it comes across very dry, appetizing, and delicious.

masked by VA, and maybe reduction at first, then opens beautifully with lime recitations, of juice concentrate, zest, floral accents, pure oils weeping from the skin, and spent hulls, tasteful hits of saline, and a pleasant, fading bitterness on the finish, linearity and finesse coaxed out with air, temp, and time
