High fill, good cork. Unfortunately slightly past peak. Drinkable, but not with the tension and energy it should have. Still balanced and with a decent acidity and only slight botrytis. Medium length. 87-88

Went back to this, this has multiple interesting layers of flavors, pineapple , Granny Smith apple, pears, peaches, and a hint of marzipan, minerals and diesel on the lingering finish. Tonight was without food.

Softer than I remembered, but with nice apple and pea flavors, a hint of petrol. Drink up based on this bottle. B

Very light yellow. Moderate intensity on the nose of spiced pear. Richer and much better at just below cellar temperature, more one dimensional if served too cold. Lemon curd, tangerine, hint of pink grapefruit, tart green apple with a lemon lime finish that does last more than one minute.

Both bottle and cork were in perfect shape. Smoke and slate and rubber aged notes amid honeycomb, waxy notes. Smells like a Wachau wine. Lots of sense of place on the nose. Spicy on the palate but I think it's time to drink up however, fruit seems to be vanishing and alcohol is starting to pop. No oxidative agave/tequila notes, acid is medium plus and it is still enjoyable but its becoming disjointed and hotter as the fruit fades. It …

Crispy clean, crunchy, with some beery notes as Erin might say. So lots of lush fruit, power, could still use some time in the bottle quite frankly but its good stuff.

Bright Golden- Yellow. Decent aromas of (dried) Stonefruit and some Grapefruit. Smoky Minerality and Crushed Rocks. Multi-layered and diverse aromatics of Fresh Herbs (Lemon Balm!), Shaved Parmesan and Honey (-liqueur). Harmonious, soft and of great complexity! Fine flavors of Stone- and Tropical Fruits; mostly Grapefruit and Peach (-nectar). Soft Herbal Spiciness and Parmesan Cheese. Traces of Salt. Vital, but Filigree Acidity and Fine Minerality. Long and harmonious finish with little Pepper and Anise Spicyness. Alive, while comforting with soft texture …

Wachau Spring Wine Festival (Wachauer Weinfrühling) (The Wachau) : Dumber on the nose than the basic Federspiel, this has a somewhat dry, yeasty palate and a mineral intensity, but I felt it lacked a bit of balancing sweetness. € 16. **
