Very nice. Had with chicken and pasta. Well integrated with smooth and slightly creamy finish. Honey and tropical notes but not too sweet. Despite the age, well worth drinking if you still have it.

I can't quite go 89 points on this wine. Disclaimer: I am not a huge California Chardonnay fan. This wine was a gift. That being said, it is a nice wine for what it is. A little too buttery and oaky for me. I prefer a nice Chablis so that is where my taste preference lies. Nice acidity with caramel notes. I am not getting much fruit at all. Still some life left but I would drink up soon. Probably …

PNP. Color of golden straw. I don’t drink much Chardonnay, but this seems a nice example of the CA example: buttery oak, ripe citrus fruit, but not over the top, and with enough acidity to keep it from being flabby. A caramel element is coming with age. Full bodied for a white, almost creamy mouthfeel. I think this has rounded out, but don’t see it improving. Drink up.

Luscious and velvety. All parts well integrated. Some peach and tropical fruit, great balance and quite elegant one. Drank next to Drouhin Les Clos 2011 and both wines showed quite well and surprise surprise, there were more similarities than differences.

As many other reviewers have stated, nice oaky, buttery, fruity CA chardonnay. Avoids being overstated in any component. Lovely to drink now.

Butter, caramel, and apple...along with tropical fruit, honeysuckle, citrus, and mineral notes. Zippy acidity. Delicious from start to finish. Paired well with baked salmon.

During a tasting of miscellaneous regions/varietals. Medium-light gold. Expressive nose of lemon, toast, oak, vanilla, modern but lovely. The palate is creamy with high acidity. Good finish. A well made Calif Chard that is not too rich.

Restrained, particularly for Napa Valley Chardonnay. The readily noticeable, though not overdone oak treatment, imparts melon rind and waxy elements to the wine. Light to medium body, very good acid, solid.

Winebar [2 Shared Reds, 3 Chards, & 6 Misc Reds] for 5/26/17 (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA) : N: Toast somewhat atop lemons, but attractively so P: MF body; Somewhat rndish entry with decent frt/oak & BRACING mid palate acidity, this morphing into a long finish with only the barest hint of oaky harshness. A reasonable value for drinking over the next 6-12 mos -- before, I suspect, oaky edginess dominates the frt. 91 pts WE, 90 WA, 88 …

Clear medium lemon. A nose of Chinese pear, green apple, oak, cream, slight caramel. Developing. High acidity, full body, medium+ intensity of green apple, oak, lemon zest and a touch of caramel. Medium+ finish. More rounded on the nose than the palate. 90-91 pts.

Big buttery vanilla nose typical of a California chard with soft notes of lemon curd and citrus. Mouthfeel is unctuous and oily, with plenty of malolactic and vanillin oak forming the main structure on the mid-palate. Buttery cookie dough notes are followed by echoes of lemon curd from the nose. A big mouth filling chard that is very quaffable but not sufficiently complex or unique enough in its category to warrant a 90+ score.

Seriously oaky nose. Lots of butter on the tongue, but, also, tropical fruits, and, maybe, citrus fruits. Fruit component is most in the acid, which, thankfully, cuts the oaky better a bit.

Made in a rich and minerally style, this is youthful and very primary at this point. Citrus, jack fruit, and malo aromas and flavors, with a cyanic peach pit note that should ebb once this settles. Warm finish.

This feels and tastes like a mass produced wine which is so white washed that it neither tastes good nor bad. Citrus notes dominate with a rather sour medium length finish of grapefruit notes.

Commodore Waterfront Restaurant, Key West. Our third and best chardonnay so far on our jaunt over the pond. This was taut with core of minerality and great depth. Filled out in the glass revealing crisp pear and melon elements. Excellent. Barely ready for drinking: ideally 2018-2020.

On the verge of completely cracking up. Tastes of Madeira and rank caramel upon opening. Some of that blows off with time, leaving a sort of sweet-sickly taste, almonds, and citrus. From Trader Joe's. Not recommended.

JM tastes Napa! (Napa) : Pretty chard, butterscotch, green apples, creamy butter. Nutty. 4.5 month in french oak. Herbaceous leafy with fruity edge. Textural, with intriguing cinnamon dusting and white pepper at the end.

Really worth keeping this long, but potentially could last even longer because there's still good acid, fruit and structure. A rich gold colour - bright. A rounded nose of burnt butter, apples and some citrus. A lovely complex taste with citrus, apples and tropical fruits over a buttery, biscuity backbone. Delicious.

Nice Chardonnay. Lighter than most in colour. Definitely lighter on the palate with notes of pear. It drinks very easily and great with appetizers. It still has the buttery rich texture of a Chardonnay but finishes very quickly. All around a very nice bottle.

- Light gold color - An atypical California Chardonnay. Not heavily oaked or too buttery. In keeping with its old world style, this is a well balanced wine. Some stone fruits and minerals on the nose. Oak shows up in the lingering finish. Enough acidity to go well with Chinese food. Enjoyable.

Really gorgeous wine. Smooth delivery, soft tropical fruit and pear with creamy acidity and a dollop of quality oak. The three components meld perfectly together. Not particularly complex, and a little overpriced in the UK, but I'm not complaining too much. Still, not quite as good as offerings from Shaw and Smith or Hamilton Russell for similar money.
