Va La Vineyards Cedar

Notes consistent with previous bottles except that the wine gives a very velvety texture after breathing for an hour and a half or two hours. I’d call this drinking well now, but without a lot more time before it declines.

Gorgeous and aromatic. Beautiful.

Oxidized

Pale garnet. Aromas of violets, ash, red cherries, red plums, cedar. On the palate the wine is dry with medium plus acid, medium plus fine ripe tannins, medium alcohol and body. Flavors of medium intensity with fresh red fruit- cherries, plums, cedar, floral notes, dried herbs. Finish is medium. The wine is good, interesting, complex.

Similar notes compared with a few weeks ago. Nose is gorgeous with incense, cigarette ash, and wood shavings. Palate strikes me as a bit light today. Not sure if that’s bottle variation or an effect of the cold, dry air that moved in today. Either way, it’s an enjoyable wine.

Sweet pine, rose petal, and incense ash on the nose. Sweet and savory on the palate with silky, pleasurable texture on the tongue. There's an ethereal quality to this wine. This is spot-on Nebbiolo.
