NobleRottersSydney - NZTrip - Hawkes Bay(2) : Gimblett Gravels {screwcap, 14%, NZ$25} Cool climate alert. Menthol, pepper, spice, spearmint. Nevertheless ripe and quite large on the palate; medium/full body, explosive pepper and floral fruit on the front palate, and then it recedes quickly. A short finish is the biggest disappointment here, although in a price context it’s a harsh criticism.
