I have enjoyed this wine over the years, but sadly not as much tonight. Every bottle is different, so if you have one I advise drinking... Better safe than sorry.

Popped and poured after reading other reviews. Still fruit forward and you can still catch the oak flavor, but smooth and a nice finish. Drink up!

Vague memory, cleaning up the cellar. Consistent with any vintage of Chalk Line, testatment to Jerry's wines. But I remember I hung onto this for a year beyond what I normally would have to see if it improves the wine. Unfortunately, no major difference between 3-6 months after release (after the obvious oak has blown off) and holding on to it. So drink up, it's the same experience. Save room in the cellar for Gun Metal, the Wanted, Alibi, etc. …

Stilll tight, but shows great promise. Will hold my other bottles for 2 years.

Popped and poured. Consumed over two days. I think that my taste preferences are starting to change. Was a big fan of this wine when it was first released, but the last two bottles have seemed out of balance and a bit over the top. Lots of oak and sweet fruit flavors, but comes across as messy and fat. Needs more acid. Would not purchase again.

Perhaps the darkest purple I have ever seen in a wine. Smooth to the palate, a little dark fruit and cherry. Not a wine that will blow you away, but a great bottle with a steak.

Very nice palate pleasing wine. Ripe blackberry, plum, and cherry with a little bell pepper and cedar. Good acidity and clean finish. Very good QPR.

Popped and poured. This screamed cocktail wine tonight. Lots of sweet fruit that was overshadowed by vanilla and oak tannin. Big wine with a nice mouthfeel. Finish lasted a while. Too much wood for my tastes. Would not purchase again.

Dense and dark, wonderfully lush and outstanding QPR. Perfect wine with chocolate or steak. Gripping acids and tannins on finish are distinct and really carry the wine through. Goes on and on.

Tasted at Esquin. I found this imbalanced and hot. Bleh for my palate.
