France 2024; 6/23/2024-6/29/2024 : Open for business and lovely. A solid depth and weight with broad shoulders and a nice backbone. Drinking quite well right now.

Armand Rousseau Dinner : Aeration for 4 hours to soften the tannin. Medium+ nose intensity with notes of red fruits, red cherry, strawberry. Still youthful.

Always enjoyed Rousseau even though it’s still youthful. Will need at least 10 years to enjoy this wine. Still youthful with notes of cranberry, strawberry, red fruits, flora, violet.

Just beautiful. This is everything has everything that I love in a red Burgundy. Nice spice, huge nose, perfect balance, complexity, etc. Enjoyed in Vienna.

Despite the prior negative reviews, I couldn’t help my self and Coravinned a glass. Wasn’t disappointed. I’m sure it will gain more dimension with bottle age, but I figured the I’ll not find out what Rousseau wines taste like young by aging it. Un vin super jeune mais quel potentiel et quelle matière, très bon maintenant malgré la jeunesse. 93-94 Very young of course but such potential, density and structure, you can still feel this Grand Cru impression when you know it is special.

SLDS Decadence 2021 : A bit reductive and smoky, along with plum and cherry. Really quite ungiving on the palate right now. Has potential but needs some serious time.

SLDS Single Bottle Dinner : Densely coloured with the same profile across the fruit with black cherry, plum and smokey oak. Powerful palate, with lots of flavour density - still manages to hold on to some tension but it's a bit awkward structure wise right now and was the weakest of the Rousseau tasted tonight. Wouldn't budge an inch even with significant time in the glass.
