Antoine Moueix La Fleur Renaissance

Initial impression was an overwhelming sense of lemon meringue pie, without the salty crust. I couldn’t shake this. Lovely with poached pears, but the wine was the perfectly balanced star. A sticky, and happy ending to a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Marmalade through and through (lucky I like marmalade). The sweetness is well-matched with tangy acidity. On the nose marmalade with a bit of vanilla-based toffee. Not terribly complex but huge flavor in the mouth. Impressively long finish of grated orange peel and some ruby red grapefruit. Still excellent on the 3rd night so should last many more years.

Lovely wine. Drank it with an apple blue cheese tart. Floral nose with a hint of tropical fruit. Pear essence balanced by citrus acidity. Worth holding for another five or so years

A very nice Sauternes. Appealing taste profile, goes down easy. Not particularly layered and acid could be better.

Lime pie flavor, traditional taste, overall very good

From a 375. Lighter barsac style, floral, simple; palate is well balanced, sweet, citrus, fruit; finish is simple, smooth. Excellent young drinking, priced well, would pair well with a wide variety of foods. 87-88
